BBU Architecture

Huawei 5G BBU 5900 / 5910 connects to 5G AAU (e.g., AAU 5639, AAU 5613). CPRI/eCPRI fronthaul. F1 to centralized CU.

MML Configuration

Huawei MML uses commands like ADD NRDUCELLPDSCH, MOD NRDUCELLPRACH, MOD NRDUBWP. Configuration template-driven via MAE-Deploy.

Numerology Configuration

For n78: SCS=30K. DLBANDWIDTH=100M. ULBANDWIDTH=100M. Initial BWP and dedicated BWP via NRDUBWP MML.

Beam Management

AAU 5639 (64T64R) supports 8-beam SSB at FR1. CSI-RS via NRDUCELLCSIRS. Beam-failure recovery via NRDUCELLBFR.

KPI Mapping

Huawei PRS counters: PDCP.UL.UEReportTrafficDataRate, PDCP.DL.UEReportTrafficDataRate, MAC.PDSCHCBRA.SF.fail. PRS export to U2000 / MAE-Access.

Tuning Workflow

1. Pull MR (Measurement Report) from MAE-Deploy. 2. Identify weak-coverage UEs by RSRP/SINR distribution. 3. Tune beam config or RU power. 4. Validate via PRS counters.
