vRAN Architecture

Samsung CU runs on COTS x86 + GPU acceleration. DU runs on Samsung Compute Module (CMx). RU is Samsung MA-DAS family with O-RAN 7-2x split.

CM Parameters

Samsung CM uses MO objects gNB / NRCell / NRCellDU. Numerology in NRCell.subcarrierSpacing. dlBandwidth specified as MHz.

Numerology Configuration

For n78: SubcarrierSpacing=KHZ_30. CellBandwidth=MHZ_100. Initial DL BWP and dedicated DL BWP configurable independently.

Beam Management

Samsung 64T64R RU supports 8-beam SSB sweep at FR1, 32+ beam sweep at FR2. CSI-RS configuration via CSIRSResource MO; beam refinement scheduled per UE.

KPI Mapping

Samsung CIM counters: pdsch_bler_dl, pusch_bler_ul, prach_attempts_count, ssb_received_power. Counter export via OSS-RC compatible API.

Tuning Workflow
