Method: air interface = (sym × Tsym) + processing align (TBP delay ≈ 0.05-0.2 ms). Fibre @ 5 µs/km (n=1.5). Node processing values are typical RAN-vendor ballpark (DU ≈ 50 µs, CU ≈ 80 µs, UPF ≈ 60 µs, MEC server ≈ 50 µs). HARQ retx adds 1 round-trip air + DU at BLER probability. MEC at DU bypasses CU/UPF/N6 entirely — your fastest path.
